First of all, happy new year!
I’m Dom the Reindeer, a furry that finds enjoyment in a lot of things in life between reading, gaming, exercise, or even baking. I’m a 31 year old Digital Marketing Manager during the day, and a weirdo Reindeer on the internet otherwise.
I have a lot of passions and interests in life, so much so that it may honestly be detrimental to my own health sometimes. In the last few months of 2024 I found myself drifting to games I’ve played before, old MMOs I enjoyed, read through a multitude of books, and have watched several TV shows from beginning to end. I’m fairly on my own and have frankly detached from a lot of social interactions with people.
Healthy? Probably not. Did it help me find interests in things I’d once enjoyed? You bet it did.
Several things I’d hoped to do in 2024 didn’t happen, like getting healthy again. I’m certainly not like I was at my peak health back in 2018, pre-cycling accident, but, I still want to get back to where I was. I felt a little bit of myself returning to games and books I’d once enjoyed. Golden Sun, Game of Thrones, The Good Wife, Star Wars: The Old Republic (SWTOR), and even trying to wade through the density that is the Wheel of Time. I haven’t felt the need to make myself something I’m not by adhering to the “social norms” of either “normal” life or even the furry community.
I’ve enjoyed focusing on myself and not a streaming goal for once.
What I hope to do with this blog in 2025 and beyond:
Play through games both old and new and enjoy the experience, whether that’s Golden Sun, Zelda, SWTOR, Final Fantasy (both MMOs or the solo JRPGs) and “review” them, so to speak.
Read through books both fiction and non-fiction and “review” them.
Talk about my experiences at furry conventions and fursuiting (even though I’ve only a head at this point).
And other things, too, I’m sure! We’ll see what 2025 brings to me and this blog. Questions? Comments? Send me a question via the contact page!
